"Offerings to the sea"

As part of a community project, and inspired by the richness of ancient techniques for open water voyaging in the Pacific, I used elements from nature to create a little vessel which carries offerings to the sea: Paper Mulberry tree's fibers and naturally dried Hydrangeas.

With simple methods, we resignify objects found in Nature and share a human narrative. Always trying to be aware that with few, natural materials, we can do a lot. We can see and explore, together, the infinite stories told by our surroundings.

Barkcloth (Paper Mulberry tree), Banana leaf, Bamboo sticks, sewing thread.
